I have served on the Albany School Board for five years – first from 2020 to 2024 and now since 2025 to fill an unexpected vacancy. My family and I have lived in Albany for 13 years. Our two daughters will attend Albany High this year and have spent their entire school careers in Albany. I love our community and our schools.

 

Getting a good education changed my life, and I moved here to give my children access to our exceptional schools and teachers. Public education is the great equalizer in our society. When it reaches its full potential, it gives our children the opportunity to reach theirs, regardless of how much money they have, where they are from, how they learn, or any other aspect of their identity or background. 

 

I approach this position with respect and without ego. I’ve learned a great deal from my previous years on the Board. As an attorney and professional coach, I know how to make difficult decisions in a calm, level-headed way. And I am passionate about achieving equity. I would be grateful for the chance to continue putting my skills and experience to work in service of our students and their families.
